Cost: $5-$10 sliding scale… no one turned away for lack of funds
Music: Cuban salsa, reggaeton, salsaton, merengue, bachata
This party is all about bringing people of different dance abilities and different dance schools together.
Beginner dancers will draw a name out of a bowl on their way in who will be their salsa Godparent and that person (generally a dancer of the opposite lead/follow role who has been in the Cuban salsa community for a little while) will introduce them to other people, help them feel welcome, take them for a spin on the dance floor…
Dance lesson: 9:00-10:30 with Michael Gabriel Rosen (Más Movement)
Music by DJs Salsomana and Karlos Reyes, spinning Cuban salsa, reggaeton, salsaton, merengue, bachata… and more.
Other special features:
- Organized ruedas for students at various levels led by various instructors
