Lula Lounge invites you to a Salsa Dance Party!

The night begins when the doors open at 7pm, when you’re ushered into another world, part old Havana and part Sao Paolo.

Have a seat overlooking our red dance floor and enjoy a Cuba Libre or Mojito while you await an expertly prepared three course meal from our new summer menu and listen to the sounds of Bebel Gilberto, Gilberto Gil and Celia Cruz, among others.

At 9pm, we have an hour-long beginner salsa lesson with Ana Machado where you’ll learn some moves you can use when the band starts at 10pm!

About Cafe Cubano:

Since their debut performance at Lula Lounge in September 2005, Cafe Cubano have dominated Cuban Friday nights with their potent blend of dance-floor friendly salsa, and high-energy showmanship.

Featuring the dynamic duo of singer Yani Borrell and percussionist Junior Urbaez upfront, Cafe Cubano liven the mix with dance routines, call and response sections and audience singalongs dedicated to the proposition that there are no limits to entertaining the audience.

Lead by music director/pianist Betancourt and featuring some of Toronto’s finest musicians such as Yankar Gonsalez on trombone and Jalodan Ruiz on timbales Cafe Cubano have become one of the most respected groups in Toronto’s latin music scene today.
